Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future.The RoleThe Chief of Staff to the CFO plays a critical role in driving the financial and operational success of the organization. This position involves high-level strategic planning, execution of key initiatives, and ensuring the CFO’s office operates with maximum efficiency and effectiveness. The CoS is a partner to the Finance Leadership team and an advisor to the CFO.Location and ScheduleThis is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.The Main ResponsibilitiesOversee core functions within the office of the CFO, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. This includes project management, communications, and function-wide initiatives.Partner with and serve as a sounding board to the CFO’s direct reports and leaders on day-to-day activities and strategic business initiatives.Coordinate with the CFO’s direct reports to problem solve, meet deadlines, improve communication flow, and enhance team performance.Manage the flow of information to and from the CFO, ensuring the CFO is well-informed on all aspects of the organization.Oversee the execution of special projects and monitor progress.Participate in operational reviews, providing succinct updates to the CFO.Establish and track organizational-wide performance indicators to drive team success.Develop slide decks, reports, and dashboards for CFO and key stakeholders.Ensure the CFO is thoroughly prepared for all external and large internal meetings, including board meetings and earnings. This includes managing necessary prep calls, ensuring prep information is consolidated into a digestible format, building slide decks, and disseminating all materials to relevant parties.Additional ResponsibilitiesDrive staff meetings and execute team-wide events, including town halls, all-hands meetings, leadership meetings, and operational reviews.Partner closely with the CFO’s Executive Assistant to strategically manage the leader’s time and help determine fit with the priorities.Oversee internal communication content and communications channels. This includes newsletters, announcements, and social media (LinkedIn).Supervise finance interns and rotational program analysts. This includes program recruitment selection, role assignments, team events, and professional development opportunities.Work closely with cross-functional partners (such as HR) to ensure alignment and collaboration of talent strategy.Meet with stakeholders on behalf of the chief executive to address inquiries and represent their interests.Provide ad hoc analysis to support non-routine communication, project, or budgetary requirements.Identify and resolve unexpected issues and conflicts that arise within the organization or affect the CFO’s agenda.Monitor and evaluate the performance and progress of the organization and the leader's goals and objectives while also contributing to the development of more efficient processes.What We Look For in a CandidateBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related; MBA preferred.10+ years in a Finance role preferred.Working knowledge of financial reporting, long-term planning, project management, and change management.Comprehensive understanding of business operations, coaching, and process improvement.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize and manage a variety of complex projects and activities in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to work across all organizational levels to resolve issues and generate results among potentially conflicting constituencies.Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, demonstrate technical expertise, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and influence key stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams.Strong executive presence and excellent communication & interpersonal skills.Passion for technology and innovation with a customer-obsessed mindset.Ability to navigate complex stakeholder management situations.Attention to detail across a broad range of contexts and topics.Experience with business operations and planning, business transformation, and/or management consulting is a plus.
