Our client is an EPC contractor specializing in the installation of utility and industrial process infrastructure including substations, power generation, industrial process facilities, and renewable fuel projects. They are currently executing an EPC contract for a large 500kV HVDC substation project.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of electrical subcontractors and field personnel, ensuring compliance with project specifications and deadlines.
Collaborate with the Construction Manager to oversee all construction activities, including budgeting, quality assurance, and scheduling.Provide technical assistance to subcontractors, including interpreting drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment.Conduct thorough inspections to ensure adherence to contractual agreements.Review and approve payment applications from trade contractors in coordination with the Project/Construction Manager.Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Owner and Architect/Engineer representatives.Develop and maintain a comprehensive site coordination plan in coordination with the Construction Manager.Perform quality inspections and coordinate site testing and inspection procedures.Monitor project costs, including labor and materials, and enforce compliance with the Project Health and Safety Program.Track schedules meticulously, preparing detailed short-term schedules and ensuring activities are completed on time or ahead of schedule.Prepare and submit Daily Reports documenting weather conditions, field observations, manpower allocation, project progress, and incidents.Attend and actively participate in project meetings.Provide training and educational support to field superintendents and engineers.
Education and/or Experience
10+ years of electrical construction experience in industrial or commercial construction projects….Utility experience preferred30 Hour OSHA Certification preferred
