The Senior Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the credit union's compliance and risk management program by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position involves monitoring, analyzing, and providing guidance on compliance-related issues, implementing and improving compliance processes, conducting compliance reviews, and preparing reports.

This position is hybrid.

NYC Salary Range - $90,820 - $115,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.

Regardless of seniority or role, uphold UNFCU’s mission, core values, and guiding principles by providing an exceptional service experience to colleagues and members alike through consistent demonstration of our service excellence behaviors.Interpret and stay updated on relevant federal and state regulations affecting the credit union, including but not limited to consumer protection laws (e.g., Reg Z, Reg E), and fair lending practices.Support the day-to-day operations of Compliance risk management programs including Management Reporting, Regulations Management and Regulatory Change oversight, and Training oversight.Perform risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks across different departments, products, services and functions within the credit union.Execute ongoing monitoring and testing of compliance controls and processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards.Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support on compliance issues to staff across the organization.Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management, the board of directors and regulators, summarizing key compliance activities, findings, and status updates.Investigate potential compliance breaches or incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective action plans.

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with a focus on regulatory complianceMinimum of 5 years of experience in compliance or a related field, including responsibility for complying with applicable rules and regulations (consumer protection laws and regulation and supervisory compliance examination procedures)Proficient in MS Office and other applicable compliance software and applicationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of data analytics and reporting toolsThorough understanding of regulatory frameworks, and experience with compliance standards specific to banking institutionsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication, facilitation and consensus-building skillsHigh degree of personal initiative and attention to detail when making judgments/recommendations
