Overview
The Robotics Welding Operator will play a key role in configuring, operating, and monitoring the performance of the welding robot used in the application of an automated welding system. This individual will play a hands-on role in ensuring the robot welding system operates efficiently and safely.
Functional Description
Configure, operate and tend robots that weld metal components together with robotic welding equipment.Load, assemble and position components of fabricated metal products using weld fixtures.Enter operating parameters into computers to begin production.Inspect for quality and accuracy of robotic welding; repair parts as necessary.Make necessary real-time adjustments and solve issues promptly to make sure the robotic welding process runs smoothly.Complete work based on blueprint specifications and quality standards. Test or measure the finished pieces in order to determine if they conform to specifications.Use hand tools such as hammers, welding equipment, cutting torches, calipers and micrometers.Utilize computer software, such as spreadsheet and word-processing applications, off-line programming as necessary.
Training/Education Required
At least 2 years’ experience with IGM welding robots and applied metal structuresTraining in metal constructions or formal training in a related activityKnowledge of welding techniques, basic metallurgy; manual welding experienceKnowledge off off-line programming, robotic programming a plus

Safety Requirements
Shall report all injuries/illnesses to their supervisor that occur at work, the day of the incidentShall report any unsafe conditions that are identified in their respective work area to their supervisorShall comply with all CAF USA safety policies, procedures, and requirements that are communicated to them, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) proceduresShall wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is communicated and supplied to themShall keep their respective work area clean and orderly at all timesShall attend all CAF USA required training as soon as possible before the start of their assigned workShall NOT operate any CAF USA equipment (forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts) until certified to do so

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $22 per hour to $28 per hour.
