A client of Sharp Decisions Inc. is looking to bring on a PMO Governance Support Specialist to be based in Torrance, CA. This position is HYBRID. The contract’s duration is 12 months with possible extension. *W2 and local only.

Role Overview:The position involves project leadership and executive-level project management experience, with a particular focus on portfolio management.Responsibilities include ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality deliverables and adherence to organizational standards.The role involves managing diverse projects across various divisions.The candidate should have some project leadership and execution experience, but he/she won’t be leading the project but will provide governance for the portfolio project.Ensure that existing standards are reviewed and adjusted if necessary.This role will dedicate more focused time to project management and deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives. The individual will provide guidance to project managers, oversee project management and process governance, and actively contribute to improving processes by identifying issues and proposing solutions.While management is involved, strong PMO skills are essential. This is not a low-level position; it requires someone capable of offering suggestions, generating innovative ideas, and driving improvements effectively.
Skill Requirements:Process governance experience .Provide guidance, and structure to project managers, including developing processes and addressing issues collaboratively.Regular engagement with project managers (e.g., weekly meetings) to offer guidance and support is essential.This position will involve working closely with executives and handling critical data, making it essential for the candidate to be senior and highly experienced.Clarity PPM preferred.
