Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30). **Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**. IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour. First Time Travelers Accepted. Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6. Unit Information: Post Operative - Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho etc. & some pre-op patients. Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided. Job Requirements
Minimum 2 Year of Med/Surg Experience, 2 Years Overall RN experience required. Management of dysrhythmias and Interpretation of dysrhythmias Schedule Information
Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12. Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, or if unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract. Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need. Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. Unit Specific Information
Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
