Application deadline: Wednesday, December 18, 2024. The Housing Authority of the County of Alameda (HACA) is seeking a collaborative and proactive Deputy Executive Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the dynamic and thriving Bay Area and play a critical role in the HACA organization. The Deputy Executive Director is responsible for supervising housing program functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, and fostering interagency collaborations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, adept at problem-solving and workflow optimization. Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Qualified candidates must possess extensive management and administrative experience and a strong understanding of and experience with assisted housing programs. For external candidates, a typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, and six (6) years of progressively responsible management experience in housing programs, and two (2) years of direct supervision experience. A Master’s degree in public or business administration and work experience related to public housing programs is highly desirable.
