Gannett Fleming is seeking an ambitious Senior Civil Designer with a strong background in residential subdivision development and 2-4 years of relevant experience to join our Land Development team in the Houston, TX office.Key Responsibilities:Perform storm design and storm calculations related to residential projects.Generate dirt calculations and balances using Autodesk Civil 3D.Prepare submissions for agency reviews and approvals.Create layouts, plan/profile, and detail pages in civil plans using Autodesk Civil 3D.Review and implement markups/corrections on plan sets.Develop vertical paving designs with a focus on drainage sheet-flow.Conduct quantity take-offs from plan sets.Ensure quality assurance and quality control during the review of plan sets.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.2-4 years of design and drafting experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D in land development.Minimum of 2 years experience with master planning for residential subdivision projects.Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with applicable land development components.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively with team members and public agency reviewers.Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing project priorities.At Gannett Fleming, we believe in improving the lives of the people we serve.
