Senior CAD Designer - Land Development
to work in a remote-hybrid basis at our
Houston, TX office . You will work alongside staff engineers, contributing to the design, production, and master planning of construction drawings for various commercial and residential projects.You will be joining a collection of Land Development experts providing professional services to clients across North America.Responsibilities:Apply storm design and storm calculations relevant to projects.Generate dirt calculations and balances using Autodesk Civil 3D.Submit project documents for agency reviews and approvals.Complete layouts, plan/profile, and detail pages for civil plans using Autodesk Civil 3D.Review and implement markups and corrections on plan sets.Prepare vertical paving designs with detailed knowledge of drainage sheet flow.Conduct quantity take-offs from plan sets for accurate project estimates.Perform quality assurance and quality control in reviewing plan sets to ensure compliance with project standards.Minimum Requirements:Associate degree in a relevant field from a two-year program, focusing on CAD technology.6+ years of design and drafting experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D in land development with a minimum of 2 years experience in residential master-planned subdivision projects.Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and its application in land development is required.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members and public agency reviewers.Must be adaptable and able to shift between projects promptly as needed.At Gannett Fleming, we believe in improving the lives of the people we serve.
