The Regional Vice President of Communications and Public Relations is a corporate, tactical leader responsible for extensive writing, editing, planning, development and execution of the organization's strategic communications and public relations. This leadership position is one of the key representatives of Prime Healthcare with internal and external stakeholders and serves as primary spokesperson for Prime Healthcare. A hands-on leader who is responsible for the development and deployment of all corporate communications, media relations, investor-related communications and presentations, support for government relations, and PR/community engagement activities for Prime Healthcare. This leader oversees a corporate staff responsible for internal communications, executive communications, PR and media relations, crisis communications, corporate sponsorships, Prime Healthcare Foundation activities, website development, digital marketing and social media strategy. This leader works with hospital leadership across the system to advance the company's strategic goals. Hospital Communications teams have a dotted line to this leadership role.Please note: This role is based in-office at our HQ in Ontario, CA. If applicable, relocation will be required and relocation assistance can be considered on a case-by-case basis.Qualifications

Required qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.10+ years of effective communications success in a healthcare delivery setting; 10+ years' leading and executing communications function at the c-suite level.A successful track record of effectively communicating with senior level executives, board members, physician leaders, elected officials, and key community stakeholders.Excellent writing skills for a variety of audiences.Relationship building skill and experience with local and national media; Becker's Healthcare, Modern Healthcare included.Demonstrated results effectively leading and executing corporate and regional-level communications, executive communications, crisis communications, media relations and public relations, as well as labor related communications.A "working leader" working alongside teams developing materials, often under tight deadlines.Highly developed organizational, communication, planning and leadership skills; diplomatic with the ability to build positive relationships across the health system.Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.Preferred qualifications:Experience working in a large, complex (matrixed) national health system.Experience with investor relations.Experience and knowledge in government relations and working with elected officials and key stakeholders.Connections, or experience working with, national news media in key markets (LA, NYC, Midwest).Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Journalism.Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $175,000.00 to $280,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Additionally, employees in this position may be eligible to participate in the Company's annual discretionary bonus program.
