We are seeking a tenured Counsel or Senior Associate to join our busy, cutting-edge cyber, privacy, and data innovation team. Responsibilities include working on our robust pipeline of sophisticated, innovative, and industry-leading litigation, including class actions, across a range of clients in Orrick's industry verticals of technology, finance, life sciences, and energy. Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7+ years of sophisticated, complex civil litigation experience, and be a passionate, highly motivated, dynamic individual with exceptional interpersonal skills --- and above all a team player. Specific cyber/data/privacy litigation experience is highly valued.The candidate must possess strong academic credentials, excellent legal research abilities, and superb writing and oral communication skills. This position offers the candidate the opportunity to assume significant responsibility in managing all aspects of complex disputes and litigation, including working directly with clients, managing all aspects of discovery (with the support of Orrick's industry-leading eDiscovery, Analytics, and Litigation Support team), taking and defending depositions, making court appearances and handling oral argument at key hearings, handling mediations, etc.Membership to the State Bar of the desired office is required.

This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.We offer a full range of elective health benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurances; robust mental well-being benefits; child, family, elder, and pet care benefits; short- and long-term disability benefits; a health savings account (w/applicable medical plan), flexible spending accounts, long-term care insurance, and a 401K program.
