Senior Supplier Development Engineer , you will provide technical expertise and leadership to Caterpillar’s supply base in the execution of a robust quality plan within the supplier network. You will implement a continuous quality improvement process and strict process controls for evaluating and developing new and existing suppliers worldwide, maximizing Quality, Cost, Logistics, Delivery, and Management (QCLDM) within the supply network.Additional Information:Location:

None.Our team embraces flexibility through a hybrid work model.What You Will Do:Lead Category Capacity improvement, including onboarding additional capacity in the supply base.Assess and improve supplier performance via on-site QCLDM audits.Manage key supplier performance to develop and maintain selected suppliers.Lead Continuous Improvement projects related to Quality.Lead SQEP Certifications and SPM Reviews.Manage/facilitate meetings with Caterpillar and supplier teams.Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management.What You Have (Basic Requirements):Effective Communications:
Understanding of effective communication concepts.Problem Solving:
Knowledge of approaches and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems.Quality Orientation:
Knowledge of quality management methods.Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies:
Knowledge of organizational standards in manufacturing activities.Supplier Evaluations and Certificates:
Knowledge of supplier evaluations and certification.What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.Previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Business Management.Lean and/or 6 Sigma Black Belt Certification/Experience.What You Will Get:Through it all, we are
