Description:
This position is part of the Quality Management team supporting F-35 aircraft Interim Contractor Support and maintenance operations at MCAS Miramar CA. The position is responsible for conducting routine and Safety of Flight Process Compliance and Maintenance Standard Evaluations to ensure compliance with applicable technical data, engineering drawings and contractual requirements to provide aircraft that are in good mechanical condition and safe to fly. Additional requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Experience in inspection of aircraft ground handling/servicing; component removal/replacement; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; Time Compliance Technical Directive (TCTD) execution.Requires the ability to evaluate process compliance, write/review Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality plans, processes and responses.Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations.Requires ability to identify and understand non-conformities as they relate to Safety-of-Flight inspections, procedural breakdowns, and program (process) audits.Must be able to work any shift as required to support customer, including weekends.Must be able to travel to support customer needs.Must have a valid driver’s license.Must have an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.Must be a U.S. citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:At least 6 years of recent (within the past 10 years) maintenance experience on military aircraft.Have a minimum two years of Quality Assurance experience, USMC/Navy ASM 5000 rating or USAF 5/7-Level skill rating (or equivalent experience.)Experienced in inspection of aircraft and ground handling/servicing support equipment; component removal/replacement; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; Time Compliance Technical Directives (TCTD) execution.Desired Skills:Undergraduate Degree in a related field/discipline from an accredited school/university.1-2 years 5th Generation (F-35, F-22) Fighter Aircraft experience in Maintenance, Modification, Launch, Recovery and/or Quality Assurance roles.Working knowledge of F-35 Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Experience in Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA) activities such as aircraft forms documentation and supply chain management activities.Working knowledge of Action Requests (AR).Familiar with DCMA Instruction 8210.1 in association with aircraft ground operations and maintenance procedures.Familiar with OPNAV 4790 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) instructions and/or Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-101.Experience with AMS9000 Quality Management System (QMS) data base.Experience with AS9100 Aerospace Standard internal audit processes.Demonstrated ability to identify and understand nonconformities as they relate to Safety-of-Flight inspections, procedural breakdowns and/or program (process) audits.Experience with evaluating process compliance, write/review Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses and plans.Possess effective communication skills for coordinating with Contractor Field Team (CFT) Leads, Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Reps, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, Customer (DCMA/GCQA), COR/QAE and maintainers regarding quality issues, Instrumentation System Integration, Deficiency Analysis/Reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur.Excellent organizational, administration, and computer skills.A&P Certification.Security Clearance Statement:
