Account Manager, Corporate – Life Science Accounts
Do you have an understanding of the Life Sciences Industry with an inclination towards sales while managing a territory?Would you like to manage our overall corporate account base, that is engaging in scientific research?Would you enjoy working with multiple stakeholders within the Corporate Research Community and Libraries?About our TeamWe own the marketing for a portfolio of offerings within Life Sciences markets covering multiple verticals within the Corporate Segment. We aim to expand and grow Life Sciences revenue footprint. We market portfolio value and individual offerings via the direct sales channel and in partnership with digital marketing strategies.About the RoleThe Account Manager is the main strategic account planner, ensuring other sales roles and Elsevier stakeholders are aligned with the overall account strategy and engagement plan. You will encourage, facilitate, and leverage other sales roles (Solution Sales Managers & Customer Consultants) to optimize business with accounts. You'll partner with Solution Sales Managers to drive new sales of specific solutions and ensure customers get the most value from our solutions, securing renewals and future growth. You'll report to the Regional Account Director.ResponsibilitiesEnsuring customer loyalty and satisfaction within the PharmaBiotech Industry. As an expert to our customer, you know everything about the customers’ business, strategy, research needs, budgets, and competition products. You translate your knowledge into applications for the holistic Elsevier value proposition and the solutions we offer.Prospecting and acquiring new accounts while strategically growing and sustaining existing accounts.Continuing strategic account planning in order to meet or exceed annual revenue targets and ensure the achievement of long-term growth of Elsevier's overall business at the account or territory level.Understanding customer needs and delivering a value story to the key stakeholders/customers (Project managers & Researchers) while driving customer value perception of Elsevier content, products, and services.Understanding the value of each solution/product for the targeted industry segment and how it integrates with user workflows.Leading and driving high value & complex negotiations while working collaboratively with sales colleagues within the territory.Interacting with various stakeholders at an account, not just the commercial buyers, to transform the value perception of Elsevier’s core offerings with researchers at the account.RequirementsExperience calling on corporate institutions selling complex products at C-level.Experience managing a complex matrix of internal and external stakeholders.Experience using digital sales automation tools and CRMs.Experience in managing large, complex customers, driving customer engagement, and growing sales within biotech/pharmaceutical/medical device/CRO accounts.High level of motivation with extensive business acumen, communication, and presentation skills (verbal including online delivery and written) coupled with interpersonal skills.Strategic, consultative selling approach paired with enthusiasm and energy.College education from an accredited institution.Able to travel as needed for accounts within the US and/or Canada.Want to learn more about our solutions?ScienceDirectScopusEmbasePharmapendiumReaxysWork in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
