Virtual, USAClariant is currently looking for a Senior Account Manager to support the Coatings and Adhesives segment of the Adsorbents and Additives business unit. The primary objectives of this role involve developing strategic account plans, navigating organizational complexities, executing sales strategies, and rigorous CRM management to exceed sales targets. The ideal applicant must manage ambiguity, adapt to intricate organizational structures, have a strong commercial background, and the ability to make high-stakes decisions to ensure consistent delivery of results in a challenging market landscape. ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts and distributors, providing exceptional customer service and expert product recommendations.Develop and nurture multi-level customer relationships to understand needs and drive solutions, including at the C-suite level.Design and execute key account strategies through detailed account planning to grow share of wallet and achieve sales targets.Identify and drive new business opportunities, developing a robust CRM pipeline.Lead pricing negotiations to ensure profitability while meeting customer expectations.Define, measure, and monitor distributor performance using scorecards and other tools.Oversee operational execution of distribution agreements to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with strategic goals.Act as the regional lead for global key account teams, contributing to global strategies and sharing market insights.Work closely with technical business development managers in Europe and the U.S. to align efforts on pipeline development and product innovation.Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the market.Manage sales forecasts, budgets, and account plans to ensure alignment with regional goals.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Science, or Business-related field.Ability to travel up to 50% within the US and Canada.5-10 years of combined experience in strategic sales, complex account management, marketing, and business development within the Coatings and Adhesives industry.Strong business acumen and high level of autonomy to make complex decisions within operating guidelines.Demonstrate proactive thinking and strong problem-solving skills.An established presence and contacts within the Coatings and Adhesives industry.Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence multiple levels of an organization, including executive/C-Suite decision makers.What’s in it for you?Paid HolidaysPTO time with a carry-over benefitTuition ReimbursementWellness ProgramEAP ProgramSpending and Savings AccountsLife/AD&D InsuranceDisability InsurancePet InsuranceAuto/Home InsuranceIdentity Theft ProtectionLegal Services PlanMahogany McClurkinTalent Acquisition Partnermahogany.mcclurkin@clariant.comClariant is a Swiss-based global specialty chemicals company, which is concentrated and developed in three business units: Care Chemicals, Catalysts and Adsorbents & Additives.
