- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS- Experience: Med-Surg/Telemetry/Critical Drips/Trach Care required, Peritoneal Dialysis preferred- Must Have: previous travel experience- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Cardizem (Up to 15mg/hr only), Lasix, Dopamine (low dose renal perfusion only), Amiodarone- RNs required to review strips each shift- RNs required to titrate drips- Potential Charge Nurse role with cross-training offeredSchedule Information
- Shifts & Scheduling: 6:45 am - 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm to 7:15 am- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend- Holiday Requirement: Rotation with core staff, possibility to avoid repeating previous year's holidays- Floating Requirements: Possible float to Med-Surg units or Emergency DepartmentUnit Specific Information
- # Beds: 32- Nurse/Patient Ratios: 1:06 day, 1:10 or 1:15 night- Monitor Techs available 24/7- Charge nurse with modified patient assignment- RT maintains vent, RN does trach care- Scrub Color/Dress Code: RN/LPN - Navy; Uniform guidelines- Orientation details providedAdditional Details
- Unit Specifics: 3 Pavilion / 3 T - Pulmonary & observation- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics, Respiratory diagnosis, Medical conditions with Trachs (non-vented)- RT Equipment: Cpap, Bipap, High Flow O2, Trachs, IV pumps, etc.
