In this role you will primarily work on MS SQL and SSAS Reporting efforts. You will also be adding value by designing and developing solutions to improve and enhance our Operational and Compliance processes. You will drive efficiencies by working with the application team for issue resolution and provide technical leadership to your team. You will use your solutions-oriented approach and high work ethic, along with excellent communication and process management skills, to support internal customers and teammates on the Database platforms.Preferred qualifications include:Deep knowledge in installing, configuring and maintaining MS SQL 2016+ in an on-premise and AWS Cloud infrastructureDeep knowledge installing, upgrading and performing Disaster Recovery efforts with MS SQL using Log Shipping, Always ON and other DR capabilitiesExperience with SQL Server database platform in general, operational, replicationExperience with SQL server analysis services, deploying, troubleshootingExperience with SQL server reporting services, managing and deploying reports.Experience with SQL server integration services, managing and deploying projects and troubleshooting data processing jobs.SQL Tuning and Database Performance Evaluation and ConfigurationPerformance tuning, security, clusters and troubleshootingExperience working directly with customers, resolving database, systems and infrastructure-related issues and providing systems architecture guidanceWorking knowledge of relational database internals (locking, consistency, serialization, disaster recovery)Minimum 3 years of experience engineering, administering and managing multiple relational database technologies - MS SQLEffective verbal communicationsAvailability to provide on-site support during storm eventsJob Overview
Employees in this role are responsible for all activities associated with the administration of either mainframe or distributed computerized databases.Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Designs, implements, maintains, and monitors databases• Develops, documents, and implements guidelines, standards and procedures, maintenance of database dictionaries, and integration of systems through database design• Performs other job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
