We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Athens, OH. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care in a busy emergency department. In this role, you will work 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. shifts as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in a facility with a daily patient census of 31.6 and an average of 5-6 nightly admissions. You will collaborate closely with physicians providing 24-hour coverage, ensuring seamless case management and continuity of care. Your responsibilities will include utilizing the EPIC EMR system for all patient documentation and care management. Additionally, you will coordinate with various specialty services, including Pulmonology (available Monday through Friday with evening and weekend calls), Surgery, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Interventional Radiology (including procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, bone marrow biopsies, and port placements), and Picc line nursing. Requirements: Board Certification as an NP or PA. Active OH License (or in the process of obtaining one). Proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
