We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to serve as a Fortinet Resident Engineer for one of our enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet products, including FortiGate (firewalls and SD-WAN), FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. Experience with other routing, switching, and firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco, and Aruba is also highly desirable. This senior-level role involves providing best practices, technical leadership, and expert guidance to the client. Key Responsibilities: Technical Expertise: Serve as the Fortinet subject matter expert. Design, implement, and manage Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, SD-WAN, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex network security issues. Client Collaboration: Work closely with the client's IT and security teams to assess network infrastructure. Recommend enhancements and optimizations based on best practices. Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for client personnel. Strategic Guidance: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and policies. Assist in the integration of Fortinet products with other technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba). Support the client in network security audits and compliance initiatives. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Fortinet technologies and industry trends. Proactively provide recommendations to improve network security posture. Lead initiatives to enhance network performance and security. Requirements Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in network security engineering. Technical Skills: Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet products: FortiGate (firewalls and SD-WAN) FortiSwitch FortiAP FortiManager FortiAnalyzer Proficiency with other networking and security technologies: Palo Alto Networks Cisco Systems Aruba Networks Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewall policies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation. Certifications: Fortinet certifications such as NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 6, or NSE 7 are highly desirable. Additional certifications like CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, or equivalent are a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Fortinet certifications (e.g., NSE 8). Experience with cloud security and virtualized environments. Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible). Prior experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
