Job Description
Strategic Planning
Develop and execute logistics and distribution strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain.
Operations Management
Oversee warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities to ensure efficient operations.Monitor inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing holding costs.Ensure on-time delivery and resolve logistical challenges proactively.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage logistics and distribution teams across multiple locations.Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Budget and Cost Control
Develop and manage the logistics and distribution budget, ensuring cost efficiency.Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high service levels.
Vendor and Partner Management
Establish and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and other vendors.Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to achieve the best value for the company.
Technology and Process Optimization
Leverage technology, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS), to optimize operations.Evaluate and implement new tools or systems to enhance efficiency and visibility across the supply chain.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to logistics and distribution.Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including transportation disruptions and regulatory changes.
Performance Measurement
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and warehouse efficiency.Provide regular reports to senior management on logistics performance and improvement initiatives.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
Work closely with internal teams, such as procurement, sales, and production, to align logistics strategies with business goals.Act as a key point of contact for customers on logistics-related matters.

The Successful Applicant
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CLTD) is highly desirable.Experience :
10+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of managing complex logistics and distribution networks.Skills :
Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and ERP systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
