ARSIEM is looking for a
Mission Systems Administrator - Level 3 . This position will support one of our Government clients in Lexington, MD.
ResponsibilitiesAdvanced System and Database Administration: Oversee and optimize system and database operations, including backups, disaster recovery, and storage management. Ensure high availability of databases and maintain database configurations to support mission-critical operations.Data Integrity and Recovery: Implement comprehensive backup strategies and recovery plans for both system and database environments, coordinating with DBAs to ensure data redundancy and accessibility.Configuration Management and Database Optimization: Manage configuration control across servers, network devices, and databases. Track and apply updates, manage schemas, and optimize database performance.User Support and Advanced Troubleshooting: Serve as a primary support contact for both system and database-related user issues. Establish and monitor access controls, respond to escalated issues, and ensure timely resolution across functional areas.Network and Database Security Compliance: Oversee network security, firewall settings, IP management, and conduct routine database audits to ensure full compliance with DoD cybersecurity and data protection standards.Documentation and Compliance Leadership: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, security protocols, and database schemas. Lead efforts to ensure compliance with RMF, NIST 800-53, and other relevant standards.Leadership in ALIS/ODIN Transition: Lead and optimize the transition to ALIS and ODIN, preparing teams for new configurations, protocols, and system updates as ODIN components become operational.Minimum Experience
With Degree: 8+ years in System or Database Administration, or a related field.Without Degree: 10+ years in System or Database Administration, or a related field.Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.Certifications (at least one preferred):CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)System and database patching, backup, disaster recovery solutions, and storage managementWindows and Linux OS, database management (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)Configuration management, networking administration, and managementPreferred Qualifications
Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN) Base Kit (OBK)Offboard Mission Support systems and applicationsPreferred Qualities:Strong leadership and team mentorship abilities for managing complex system and database configurationsAdvanced knowledge of DoD cybersecurity standards and data protection protocolsProven expertise in high-availability environments and mission-critical data management
$125,000 - $145,000 a year
The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.
