Position Highlights
We seek a doctorally prepared Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join the PNP faculty team. As part of the PNP faculty team, they will teach and engage in continuous quality improvements in courses, including foundational DNP courses and clinical theory and practical courses. They will also advise and mentor students across DNP specialties and serve on DNP project committees. Other responsibilities will include engaging in scholarship, practice, and College of Nursing governance activities.

Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching : Teaches courses in the DNP program within the scope of their expertise, which may include foundational DNP courses and PNP clinical courses. Serves as clinical supervising faulty for students in PNP clinical rotations, maintaining and growing cooperative relationships with practice leaders at clinical experiential learning sites. Acts as advisor/mentor to DNP students and supervises work on DNP projects, creating a learning environment that facilitates student learning and achieving expected program outcomes. Collaborates effectively with other faculty and staff to engage in continuous quality improvement in courses and program intensives.
Scholarship : Develops and maintains academic excellence through clinical and educational scholarship in their area of expertise. Disseminate their scholarly work at local, regional, national, and international professional conferences and journal publications. Participates in teams to obtain funding to support student education and training.
Service : Engages with faculty, the administrative leadership team, and students in furthering the mission and goals of the College of Nursing. Participates in College of Nursing governance activities.
Minimum Qualifications Hold a doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., DNP, EdD). A Nursing degree with an PNP specialty. One year of PNP practice experience. Hold national certification as an PNP. Unencumbered RN and APRN license. Evidence of an Arizona RN and APRN license before the first day of employment with the College of Nursing. Compliance with immunizations, CPR, and other College clinical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of PNP practice experience Experience in teaching, developing, and implementing DNP educational programs. Record of professional scholarship. Recognition as a fellow in a prestigious professional organization (AANP, AAN, or similar)
