Description

Position Summary

:

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the local US IT team, ensuring the efficient operation and support of the company's IT infrastructure. This role includes managing IT personnel, ensuring network stability and security, overseeing user and device management, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the company's IT systems. The IT Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company's IT applications, including the ERP system, to ensure they align with business objectives.

Additionally, this role requires collaboration with global IT team(s) to implement company-wide IT strategies and ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards. Key responsibilities include managing IT staff performance, planning and executing IT projects, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage the local US IT team, including recruitment, performance management, and development of IT personnel.Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.Delegate tasks appropriatelyOversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers.Ensure network stability, uptime, and security, and implement necessary improvements or upgrades.Monitor and resolve issues related to connectivity, firewalls, and other critical infrastructure components.Manage user access, permissions, and account provisioning in line with company policies.Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and support of end-user devices, including computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.Ensure effective user support and timely resolution of technical issues.Administer and maintain business-critical IT applications, ensuring they are functional, up-to-date, and secure.Oversee the operation, updates, and optimization of the company's ERP system, ensuring it aligns with business processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ERP-related needs and enhancements.Implement, enforce and monitor IT security policies, protocols, and technologies to protect company assets and data.Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and corporate IT policies.Conduct regular audits and assessments of the IT environment for vulnerabilities.Plan and execute IT-related projects, such as network upgrades, system implementations, and software rollouts.Collaborate with global IT teams to align local initiatives with company-wide IT strategy.Develop and maintain IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services.Evaluate and recommend new technologiesDevelop and manage the local IT budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenses related to hardware, software, and personnel.Ensure cost-efficiency while meeting the company's IT infrastructure and service needs.Present budget proposals and regular financial reports to senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.Other duties as assigned by EVP and Global IT Team/ManagementTravel -

Must be willing and able to travel to Germany as needed for collaboration with the global IT team, training, and project-related tasks. A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally are required.

Education/Experience:

BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. A minimum of two to five years of experience in IT management or a similar role, with proven leadership in managing IT teams, applications and infrastructure. Proven experience in IT service management and IT project management required.

Computer Skills:

Advanced level of skills with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365. Proficient in network administration, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and wireless networks. Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, including server administration. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and virtualization technologies. Hands-on experience with ERP systems and IT application management, especially business intelligence reports. Familiarity with IT security protocols, including encryption, firewalls, and anti-virus/malware protection. Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity management. Strong understanding of IT compliance and regulatory standards. Knowledge of helpdesk and ticketing systems (preferably Jira).

Certificates and Licenses:

Microsoft platform and/or SAP ERP certifications, ITIL v3 foundation or higher, Prince2 or related IT project management certifications, HPE/Aruba certifications and Cyber Security certifications are preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Position may supervise up to 6 or more employees.
