Overview:
The Johns Hopkins Hospital Division of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients in an outpatient practice. In this role, you will manage patients in a GYN and OB clinic, ensuring high-quality care and support. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care for gynecological and obstetric patients, including prenatal and postpartum visits. Perform physical examinations, including GYN exams, and conduct diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, ultrasounds). Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide education and counseling to patients. Document patient encounters accurately, including history, assessments, and follow-up plans. Coordinate referrals for complex cases and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner and Maryland NP license. 2+ years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities.
