Overview The Tyndale Company, an 8x Top Workplace Winner and proud woman-owned business, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT department! The Level II System Administrator is responsible for more advanced management and maintenance of Tyndale's systems infrastructure, focusing on higher-level tasks in performance, security, and business continuity. This role involves a deeper engagement with cloud services, particularly Azure and Office 365, and a more active role in implementing and managing cybersecurity measures. The position acts as an escalation point for Level I administrators and contributes to the development and execution of advanced system projects.

HYBRID/REMOTE:

Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 2 days a week, and 3 days a week remotely .

To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Tyndale headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) for onsite work as needed.

Responsibilities

Advanced System and Cloud Infrastructure Management: Actively manage and maintain system infrastructures, including cloud services like Azure and Office 365, ensuring advanced optimization for performance and security.

Enhanced Cybersecurity Management: Implement and oversee robust cybersecurity measures, staying ahead of current threats and enhancing response protocols.

Advanced Automation and Scripting: Develop and refine scripts (e.g., using PowerShell) for more complex administrative tasks, driving system efficiency.

Proactive Disaster Recovery Planning: Lead in developing, testing, and refining disaster recovery plans.

Professional Development and Specialization: Continue professional development to become a Subject Matter Expert in one or more specific areas.

Expert Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create, maintain, and improve detailed documentation for systems and procedures, following and enhancing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Take a proactive approach in utilizing tools for system monitoring, identifying, and resolving potential issues.

Vendor and Third-Party Management: Take a more active role in managing relationships with vendors and third-party service providers, including working with consultants on project work.

Communication and Leadership Skills: Utilize strong communication skills to mentor junior staff and relay complex technical concepts effectively.

Regulatory Compliance and Recommendations: Ensure compliance with relevant data management and privacy regulations and recommend process improvements.

Sustainable IT Practices: Lead the implementation of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient practices within the IT infrastructure.

Remote Infrastructure Management: Lead in managing and supporting remote infrastructure.

Incident Management and Problem-Solving: Serve as a key player in handling system-related incidents and identifying, recommending, and implementing alternative approaches to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a strong focus on cloud environments, security, and advanced system administration.

Minimum of 1 year of experience with Linux Operating Systems

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange Online, and Microsoft Active Directory.

Expertise in one or more specific areas of system administration or a related field.

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. Advanced technical certifications are highly desirable.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).

Strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.

A thorough understanding of compliance standards relevant to system management and data security.
