is looking for an IT Supporter (Contract) to join our team based inDulles, VA.This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.As an IT Supporter in Satair, your main responsibility is to support our colleagues in the business when we face IT issues or are given a service request. As you're the first point of contact, the ambition to provide good customer service is a necessity and a timely resolution is a must.Meet the team:As an IT Supporter in Satair, you will join a team situated in the US, Germany, Singapore, China and Denmark. We provide IT Support to our colleagues in the business on a 24/7 basis, by following the sun. As we are the first step into IT, guiding colleagues and leading them to our experts is also a discipline we practice.Your working environment:Located minutes away from the Washington Dulles International Airport, and approximately 30 miles from the U.S. Capitol, this site serves as our major parts distribution hub in the Americas. The facility is a 24/7 fulfillment center, with an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support desk, and Quality Assurance (QA) operations. To best support our customers, our 20,000-square-foot warehouse features a brand new technology called Autostore, aiming at increasing productivity.At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and accessibly. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.Your challenges:Supporting your colleagues with IT Incidents and Service RequestsEnsure that IAM activities are done with proper attention and careDrive and coordinate Major Incidents to ensure that we inform our colleagues (internally/externally) and get the Major Incident at hand resolvedAssist our colleagues in Infrastructure & Operations on tasks where hands are neededEnsure asset management is done according to our processesCapture and share knowledge through written Knowledge ArticlesWork closely with the different Service Desks within the organization of AirbusYour boarding pass:A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Bachelor's Degree or at least 1 years of work experience within ITExperience in resolving IT incidents and Service RequestsIdeally, experience with IT Asset Life Cycle Management (CMDB) and writing knowledge articles is highly desirable.Must be able to read, write, and speak EnglishPhysical Requirements:Onsite or remote: 100% (only in exceptional circumstances will the candidate be allowed to WFH)Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. When needed to move IT equipment - will be instructed to get help from colleague during heavier lifts.Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
