Job Description

BryceTech is currently looking for a

Communications Specialist

to support BARDA's mission in enhancing the nation's public health security and emergency preparedness by facilitating communication on innovative products and solutions between federal agencies and public stakeholders.This individual will be responsible for all areas of communication including preparing presentation materials for internal stakeholders and the public, production of professional quality graphics, and social media management.

The Division of Research, Innovation and Ventures (DRIVe) at the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) is focused on enhancing preparedness for and response to dynamic or unpredictable threats by fostering resilient health security ecosystems and enabling the development and adoption of innovative medical countermeasures and related capabilities. DRIVe supports diverse set of innovators and companies developing breakthrough technologies.

The person in this role will: Assist the division in communications data management, including developing best practices, planning, and implementing new solutions and processes. Develop content including graphic design for the DRIVe website for new program pages, funding opportunities, program updates etc. Work collaboratively with all members of DRIVe, to gain an understanding of their program goals, objectives, and develop briefings and key talking points Synthesize the information across the different DRIVe offices to aid in communicating clear messaging on DRIVe's impact Work with DRIVe members to assist in development of relevant presentation material to tell impactful stories. This includes maintaining an understanding of DRIVe's work, developing standard decks and being able to present information and graphics in an appealing way. Have a desire to constantly improve, iterate and expand upon how we currently engage with stakeholders and communicate DRIVe's messaging. Collaborate with DRIVe to develop core messaging strategies and communication plans. Support with drafting and editing DRIVe communication materials, including web announcements, social media, and blog posts. Qualifications

Master's degree in a scientific or communications-related discipline with 3+ years scientific/technical communications experience Strong writer with attention to detail Experience in graphic and interface design and related tools like figma Experience developing and executing communications strategy Experience working with research and development projects and teams is a plus Travel required up to 25%.
