Role Overview
Rockwell Group is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to join our office in New York.
Responsibilities:Develop and document design concepts for interior design and space planningSketch preliminary designs and produce visualizations from 3D models that reflect the proposed floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and FF&ECreate design presentations, mood boards, and material boards/binders to help convey look and feel of design concepts to clientsPrepare design specifications and coordinate with project architects and project managers to ensure project completion in compliance with design intentMeet with clients to determine project requirements and advise on interior design scope including space planning, furnishings, material selection, and color coordinationRequirements:
5 years of experience in architecture or interiors; preferred focus on interior designBachelor's or master's degree in interior design, architecture, or relevant fieldHospitality design experience is highly preferredKnowledgeable in materials, finishes, millwork design, FF&E, and OS&EStrong experience in spec writing; knowledge of Specsources is preferredExperience with all project phases (Concept through Construction Administration), including built workExpertise in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud; knowledge of Rhino, Revit, Enscape, and V-Ray are preferredStrong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to meet fast-pace and changing deadlinesHighly motivated self-starter, with an attention to detailEnthusiasm for working on multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative teams
This is a full-time, in-studio position with hybrid/work-from-home flexibility, provided it does not interfere with responsibilities and complies with current office policy outlined in the Rockwell Group Handbook. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience ranging from $85,000 to $125,000 excluding bonuses and other benefits. This is a good faith estimate based on the expectations laid out in the job description. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and yearly performance reviews.
