The regulatory manager is responsible for ensuring all product labels comply with Federal regulations. Responsibilities include assisting in the review and updating of label copies and specifications to ensure that all information is accurate, meets customer requirements, and complies with government regulations. The role requires a thorough understanding of the processes involved in reviewing, updating, and approving label copies and specifications. The primary objective is to ensure that all information is precise and meets customer needs while ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations. Additionally, this position will mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional development and adherence to industry best practices.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Completing customer specification requestsResponsible for Food Safety and compliance according to the CFR or as directed by Ownership.Verifying new labels/packaging comply with government regulations or as directed by OwnershipCalculating ingredient/nutrition information for custom mixesReviewing supplier documentation for accuracy, update internal paperwork, accordingly, prepare documentation to update labels/packaging as needed to most current informationResponsible for ensuring all labels meet all government agency guidelines or as directed by OwnershipReview, proof, and approve all specifications (ingredients, bulk, and finished goods)Review, proof, and approve all product labels to ensure accuracy and compliance with all federal regulations or as directed by Ownership.Qualifications

This position is responsible for helping oversee regulatory employees and report any areas of concern to the Quality Manager. This position will attend meetings, report pertinent information to appropriate team members, report injuries, help with conflict resolution when needed, and other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working within an office environment. There will be minimal exposure to hazards, or loud noises.

Education, Skills, and Experience
B.S. required in Food Science/Nutrition or related field.Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, and CFIA label regulationsPreferred 5 years of relevant working experience in a Food Grade facilityAttend continuing education workshops for labeling for ongoing education in FDA requirementsFamiliarity with MS Office programs and ability to operate at an intermediate levelExperience working with regulatory compliance for nutrition labelingMust be able to proofread documents/labels with extreme attention to detailAbility to sit for the duration of the shift and work directly on a computerMust be comfortable performing repetitive workAbility to work with cross-functional teamsAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
