PennComp is a leading Managed Service Provider based in Houston, Texas, dedicated to delivering top-tier IT solutions and services to small and medium businesses. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology.
You will be responsible for new business development from lead generation to setting the in-person appointment. Working closely with account managers and your sales team, you will establish and nurture mutually profitable business relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
Sales Pipeline:
Manage the sales pipeline, including lead generation, prospecting activities, and opportunity qualification through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and industry events.Appointment Setting:
Build relationships and rapport with prospective clients up to setting the first qualified appointment with the Senior Sales Team.Sales Targets:
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by identifying prospective clients’ needs and opportunities while promoting our comprehensive range of IT services.Product Knowledge:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the Managed IT Services space. Leverage this knowledge to position our services effectively and differentiate us from competitors.CRM Management:
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates using HubSpot.Market Research:
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their specific IT needs.Networking:
Participate in networking events and/or industry conferences to expand our professional network and generate business opportunities.Sales Meetings:
Attend weekly sales meetings and provide team updates on lead generation activities and pipeline health.Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in IT sales or a related field is highly desired.Education:
A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.Skills:
Strong understanding of IT services and products, including managed services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and IT support.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Personal Attributes:Self-motivated and goal oriented.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Benefits:
