JOB SUMMARY:

The Florida Department of Revenue is seeking qualified candidates to join its Office of Employee Relations team as an Employee Relations Consultant. The selected candidate will work on a variety of employee relations and labor relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and other related matters. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

Consulting with managers and supervisors on employee conduct and performance issues. Reviewing and investigating reports of employee misconduct. Preparing disciplinary documentation. Processing Career Service grievances. Responding to employee inquiries related to employee relations matters. Coordinating and conducting Career Service pre-determination conferences. Assisting with the creation and updating of employee relations-related policies, procedures, guides, job aids, and forms. Analyzing and reporting on employee relations-related legislation. Developing and conducting training on employee relations topics. Serving as team lead or supporting team members in completing special projects as assigned. Assisting, as needed, in other functional areas within Employee Relations including, but not limited to, Americans with Disabilities Act accommodation requests, Employee Assistance Program referrals, Fitness-for-Duty referrals, and Reemployment Assistance cases. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Two (2) years of professional (non-administrative) experience in employee relations or labor relations, including employee discipline, in the last 5 years. Experience consulting with management on employee relations or labor relations issues. Experience preparing disciplinary action documentation. Experience preparing reports related to employee relations or labor relations issues. Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong written communication skills. PREFERENCES:

Experience conducting investigations. Knowledge of State of Florida Career Service discipline and grievance statutes and rules. SPECIAL NOTES:

SALARY:

$49,000.08 - $51,500.16
