Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist conducts comprehensive physical and psychological assessments of clients, creating individualized treatment plans and rehabilitation programs to help clients regain skills and optimize daily functioning.
This role involves educating caregivers, advising on adaptive equipment, and ensuring compliance with certification requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct physical and psychological assessments to develop tailored treatment plans.Evaluate clients' home and work environments to recommend adjustments for functional improvement.Advise on and recommend adaptive equipment to enhance daily activities.Develop rehabilitation programs focused on skill recovery and workplace reintegration.Educate caregivers and family members on effective patient care strategies.Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of occupational therapy interventions.Maintain professional knowledge and stay informed on advancements in occupational therapy practices.Comply with federal, state, and local certification requirements.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (ACOTE or AOTA).Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.Compliance with state healthcare regulatory requirements.Proficiency in treatment practices and physical therapy programs.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work with clients of diverse backgrounds and needs.Proficiency in computer use for documentation and client care tasks.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in assessing and developing client-centered treatment plans.Certifications
