Position Summary
The Director or Licensing is responsible for implementing a system of quality assurance to ensure compliance with all agency fosterhome licensing policies and procedures.
The Licensing Director position will involve travel throughout the entire state. Licensing knowledge and supervisory experience in Florida is required.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Licensing will perform duties including, but not limited to:
• Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Programs mission, values, and philosophies.• Implement a system of quality assurance to ensure compliance with all agency foster home licensing and re-certificationpolicies and procedures. Travel as needed throughout the state to our different locations in Florida.• Ensure NYAP is meeting the mandatory state agency foster home licensure and compliance requirements.• Develop and successfully implement an ongoing foster home requirement plan in accordance with the annual operatingplan and budget.• Serve as a liaison between NYAP and state and/or regulatory agencies regarding foster home licensing, recertificationand/or accreditation.• Supervise or collaborate with the NYAP Licensing Coordinators, Foster Care Program Leaders, and support staff regardingfoster home licensing and certification procedures.• Review and update a semi-annual foster home inventory assessment checklist.• In collaboration with CQI, ensure the completion of quarterly audit reviews to ensure NYAP and agency licensure andrespective agency accreditation standards are met.• Represent NYAP in local and state organizations and conduct in-service training as it pertains to foster home licensing, therecertification process, and other topics as directed.• Attend statewide and regional staff meetings, staff training programs, and individual meetings as regularly scheduled withthe supervisors.• In collaboration with local Licensing Coordinator, maintain regular telephone contact with NYAP foster parents with noyouth in placement to review current status, family situation, and continued interest in foster care.• Review and sign licensing home studies.• Performs other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's' Degree in Social Services or other related human service field. Master's degree preferred.
5 years' experience in the area of youth services, with direct experience in child welfare and foster care licensing.
Certified as Child Welfare Licensing Counselor FCB (CWLC) or (CWCM) required.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership/supervisory position.
A valid professional license or certification as required by state law and/or regulatory bodies.
Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
100,000/300,000 Bodily Injury car insurance required.
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as wellas software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
