This position will provide the ideation, development, and execution of social media and marketing campaigns that engage our existing community and new customers locally, regionally and nationally.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efforts and overall initiatives of the marketing team specializing in USSSA Space Coast Complex to carry out marketing campaigns. Duties include but are not limited to, social media management, market and trend research, compiling reports about consumer needs and performance, building and executing marketing campaigns, and assisting in the execution of general marketing efforts of USSSA Space Coast Complex events and initiatives.

Reports To: Director of Marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research to analyze competitive landscape, market (social media) trends and customer behavior and collaborating with various departments to prepare summary reports for further analysis by the marketing team.
  • Contributing innovative and creative ideas for digital and social content while communicating and executing USSSA marketing campaign deliverables, objectives and timelines to the marketing team and appropriate leadership.
  • Routinely monitoring USSSA social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok) communicating opportunities for engagement, coordination of contests/giveaways, and responding to messages promptly as needed.
  • Assisting with execution of partnership deliverables as assigned
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to develop growth strategies within community outreach and e-commerce opportunities across the organization and all social media platforms.
  • Managing a social media calendar and digital presence where a daily minimum of posts is required.
  • Providing on-site social media coverage and/or creating appropriate creative content surrounding events (National, local, and regionally across the country) as directed by the marketing initiatives.
  • Manage creative budget and process of hiring (final approval required from management) and oversite of Freelancers including but not limited to Photography, third-party creative design, and Internship positions.
  • Works with the marketing team to oversee websites and landing pages as well as email marketing campaigns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Marketing Communications, Journalism, Sports Marketing, Media Relations, or similar is recommended.
  • Highly organized and detailed with self-accountability to work towards goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with and communicate effectively with and across the marketing team, sport leadership and other departments within USSSA.
  • Experience in social media management across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok with a general knowledge of current social media trends
  • Copywriting experience a plus.
  • Creative minded
  • Experience with social media scheduling platforms a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
