DescriptionWe are inviting applications for the role of a Site Engineer based in Lake Forest, California. The candidate will be a key player in our tech industry, specializing in performance analysis, system analysis, software engineering, infrastructure modification, and database administration. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to our team's success and growth.Responsibilities:• Conduct performance analysis using data from APM and distributed telemetry data tools to pinpoint sources of instability.• Analyze intricate systems to identify operational surprises and work towards minimizing downtime.• Engage in software engineering and patching to incrementally enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.• Implement infrastructure modifications in both a data center metal environment with advanced routing/switching and in the public cloud.• Conduct predictive failure analysis and disaster planning to maintain system integrity and continuity.• Develop new tools and automation to streamline the DevOps pipeline, thereby improving efficiency.• Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.• Administer database and kv store, focusing on uptime and performance.• Participate in incident response and author postmortem reports to ensure the prevention of future incidents.• Utilize skills in Amazon EC2, Ansible, Apache ANT+, Apache Tomcat, Atlassian Jira, AB Testing, Agile Scrum, Automation, AWS Technologies, Cluster Analysis, Python, Terraform, and TCP.Requirements• Proficiency in Amazon EC2, Ansible, Apache ANT+, Apache Tomcat, Atlassian Jira, AB Testing, Agile Scrum, Automation, AWS Technologies, Cluster Analysis, Python, Terraform, and TCP• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with peers• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision• Proven track record of successful project management• Familiarity with safety regulations and guidelines in the engineering field• Demonstrable ability to lead and manage a team effectively• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.Job typePerm
