Pay Range: Starting at $25.00 Schedule:Guaranteed Full Time-8:00am-5:00pmTASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Drives vehicle to designated facility.Accurately identifies patient before collecting specimen(s)Accurately collects, labels, processes, and delivers specimens obtained from patients to drop off locationRegularly communicates with supervisor to report status. Strict adherence to Universal Precautions in controlling blood-borne pathogens and infectious disease exposures.Maintain required certifications, health requirements, and operational requirements.REQUIRED SKILLS:Practices excellent communication and interaction skills specific to the pediatric community.Treats customers and patients with respect, dignity, and discretionMust have a current, valid State phlebotomy license, if applicableMust have a current, valid State Driver's license; car insurance; good driving record; possess a vehicle in good working condition suitable to meet daily driving requirementsProficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniquesKnowledge of laboratory operationsMaintains sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contaminationPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
