About Us

To meet an ever-expanding need for mental health and substance use disorder treatment services in the region, STR Behavioral Health is excited to announce a new PHP/IOP location opening soon in Lancaster, PA. The approach at our treatment centers is firmly rooted in individualized, person-centered care to help clients uncover the "why" behind their disorders and help them build foundational relationships that help answer the "how" in moving forward.

We are seeking a psychiatrist to work onsite on a part-time basis.

How You Will Contribute

Ensure the health and safety of all clientsAssess and prescribe appropriate medication regimensAssess medical and psychiatric issues / concerns and address or make appropriate referralApprove potential admissions based on medical and psychiatric requirementsConsult with treatment team on primary diagnosis and co-occurring issuesPosition ResponsibilitiesMaintaining a safe and secure environmentHelp Clients by providing information, services, and assistanceRoutine checkups and psychiatric evaluations of clientsConducting follow up and evaluation of client physical and psychiatric conditions.Prescribe medications as necessaryDocument clinical, medical, and psychiatric treatments and recommendationsOversee and collaborate with Clinicians on client's treatment plansParticipate in Clinical Treatment team meetings 2x a monthPre-screen clients by reviewing psych and medical records for admissionOrder Lab work and UAs as needed.Minimum of two hours a week, depending on current census

Qualifications

What We're Seeking

Completed at least 3 years of residency in psychiatryLicensed practitioner in the State of PennsylvaniaExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness to work with a clinical team to make recommendations and implement strategies that will benefit clientsWillingness to take calls during afterhours days and times.Other tasks and duties appropriate to the position and/or as assignedPHI Access: Medical
