Launch your career as a Senior Tax Analytics Associate, where you will gain experience in data integrity analysis, information reporting, quality control management, systems support, sales/use and personal property tax research, and various assigned projects as well as acting as infotech liaison across the personal property tax and sales/use tax space to minimize taxes and audit risk.
As a
Senior Tax Analytics Associate in Global Supplier Services, you will
be responsible for data analysis, information reporting, sales/use and personal property tax research, and quality control management as well as acting as controls liaison across the personal property tax and sales/use tax space to minimize taxes and audit risk, as well as various assigned projects.Our Indirect Tax Operations team, part of Payment Operations within Global Supplier Services. The team prepares and files all returns and makes all related payments for US Sales/Use and Personal Property Taxes (PPT) for JPMorgan Chase as well as handling all related audits. The team also handles all supplier-related foreign and domestic US Income Tax Withholding and Reporting; additionally performing a wide range of indirect tax functions associated with Accounts Payable activity for international locations. We have locations in Columbus, San Francisco, Tampa, Bangalore, Bournemouth, Buenos Aires, and Warsaw.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations of and manage ensuing projects around automation opportunities and process enhancements requiring knowledge of such applications as Alteryx and Tableau (as well as core compliance applications)Research, analyze and resolve Sales Tax and Personal Property Tax issuesAssist with department efforts to consolidate and centralize tax registration/licensingAnalyze Sales and Personal Property Tax data from legacy systems to identify issues, trends, and process improvements, and to foresee future needsAssist with minimization of audit liabilities through data integrity effortsEnsure controls are in place to maintain legacy systems' compliance with the firm's architectural framework, security and resiliency requirements, and performance expectationsProvide support for internal BAU systems and processes, including but not limited to new software implementations and upgrades, third-party engagements, analysis and testingContribute to regular productivity and metrics reporting, both internal and outboundEnsure that all activities are completed prior to internal deadlinesDevelop alternate strategies to increase cost savings and efficienciesLead and/or assist in various projects as neededRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
