SUMMARY The ASRS (automated storage and retrieval system) Attendant supports the operation of an automated material handling system by closely monitoring warehouse mission executions. This role has the responsibility of diagnosing and resolving physical and IT errors. The Attendant will utilize different PC applications to guarantee that systems such as Warehouse Management System (WMS) are correctly communicating and corresponding with the inventory. The candidate concentrates on ensuring the efficient operation of the AS/RS and segments associated with the machine. Daily tasks consist of observing WMS/Savanna screens, clearing conveyor or S/RM equipment faults, tucking stretch wrap tails, restacking product from broken pallets and jogging pallets that have missed their target position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Follow all Safety, SQF, GMP, and housekeeping rules and regulations. Ensures the safe operation of equipment, safe use of tools, and safety of others. Execute warehouse concepts successfully by properly following automated processes. Use WMS/Savanna in relation to automation. Support ASRS operational performance in real time. Monitor control system for incoming inventory and initiate procedures to combine pallets in order to achieve desired pallet storage level. Recognize, review and recover faults and assist in driving improvement to prevent future reoccurrence. Assist in monitoring equipment malfunctions by assessing performance issues, identifying origin cause, safely restoring the equipment and taking actions to prevent recurring failures. Ensure all assigned work and preventative maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner. Act as liaison between operations and automation provider by reporting a dysfunctional device and problematic instances. Be an active team member in continuous improvement assemblies pertaining to warehouse processes. Complete regular PM (preventative maintenance) checks on automated equipment. Interact with a variety of associates in warehouse departments including coordinator, maintenance, shipping and receiving. As necessary, escalate issues to management for improvements. Properly and accurately complete paperwork. Other duties as assigned. FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES Help ensure product is free of contamination. Follow all Ken's Foods Security and GMP policies. Report any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant. Inspect work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis. Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
