Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/16/2024 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Requirements Minimum Experience: 1 Year of Experience First Time Travelers: Accepted Required Skills: IV Start and Telemetry Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH Job Details Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 Contract Duration: 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts Floating: Required as needed to similar units Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule Patient Diagnoses Pre/Post Cath, Pre/Post PPM & AICD, Watchmen Procedures Stress Tests, Management of Arterial & Venous Sheaths TIA Population, Carotid Stent Patient Management Card-Tele, Management of Arrhythmias Management of Cardiac Drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and Non-titrating Nitro Drips for Stable CP, NSTEMI Patients Special Procedures / Unit Details The CPPU is a 24-bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients. The average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days, with rapid patient turnover daily. An ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse is available Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times. Scheduling Absences must be made up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an OT day. If a nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they must automatically make up another weekend shift at the manager's discretion.
