Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/09/2024 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Details Travel Rate: Available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/13. Contract Length: Accepting contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025, to support the unit through the holidays. Hours: 36 hours available, with 12-hour night shifts. Floating: Required as needed to similar units. Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per each 6-week schedule. Required Skills and Certifications Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required. Unit will accept first-time travelers. Skills: IV Start and Telemetry. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH. Patient Diagnoses Our unit handles a variety of patient diagnoses including: Pre/Post Cath, Pre/Post PPM & AICD, Watchmen Procedures, Stress Tests Management of Arterial & Venous sheaths TIA population, Carotid Stent Patient Management Card-Tele, Management of Arrhythmias Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI Patients Special Procedures / Unit Details Our CPPU is a 24-bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit that houses cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients. The average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days, with rapid patient turnover. An ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse is available on the unit Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times. Scheduling Any absences must be made up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an OT day. If a nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will have to automatically make another weekend shift up at the manager's discretion per the 2020 policy.
