Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support State License - As applicable within 30 days prior to start date Job Details Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Telemetry unit with diagnoses including CHF, MI/Chest pain (pre- and post-cath), Dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), Hypo-/Hypertension, Pleural effusion, Sepsis, PE/DVT/vascular issues Ratio / Census: 1:4-5; 36 Rooms with average daily census of 35 Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR Scrub Color: Navy Blue Pre-Screen Unit - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis. Job Requirements State License verification (if applicable) - within 30 days prior to start date Annual Nursys (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days prior to start date Required for Tele, MS/Tele, IMCU, ER, Card tele/step-down, ICU, PCU. Skills Checklist within 12 months - updated annually Diplomas required for RRT’s Verification of most recent employer required. All assignments with one agency, are considered one employment. Can be pending at start with proof that is running (due within 30 days post start). Education verification required - Verification of related degree noted on application. Can be pending at start with proof that it is running (due within 30 days post start) If the education can’t be verified - Official transcripts/diploma OR a verified tech cert/License is acceptable in lieu. Schedule Information RTO: MAX 7 days Weekends: Every other weekend Floating: Yes Call Requirements: None Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: New Year’s Eve and Day: December 31 & January 1 Memorial Day: May 27 Independence Day: July 4 Labor Day: September 2 Thanksgiving/Black Friday: November 28 & 29 Christmas Eve and Day: December 24 & 25 Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
