A global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is currently seeking Senior Analyst to join their winning team. As an Analyst at firm, you will be a member of firm’s Legal Project Management team – a team of highly visible, motivated, and well-regarded financial professionals whose primary responsibility is to provide project & matter management support. The Analyst will assist in the integration of innovative reporting & analytics. The Analyst will interface with attorneys, the Technology department, and teams within the Accounting & Finance department to expand our project & matter management capabilities. Responsibilities: The Analyst responds to requests initiated for project & matter management support. This includes the development of financial reports, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards, budget templates, client reporting templates, task code reports, and general matter maintenance. You will work collaboratively with the team to develop solutions for leaders and attorneys across the firm. You will also work with the firm’s Executive Leadership and Finance Managers on various projects that require in-depth analytical and critical-thinking skills while accomplishing these and other functions: Working in a team environment to complete ad-hoc financial analysis, reports and special projects related to project & matter management. Utilizing analytical skills and knowledge of business, economics, finance, and accounting to complete complex and routine requests including client, budget, and overall financial performance. Utilizing Elite financial system and Business Objects to obtain data and organize the information and build reports pertaining to client project performance and creating reports for management and attorneys to review. Developing recurring reports related to client statistics and firm financial metrics. Running ad-hoc financial analytics related to client statistics and firm financial metrics. Accurately interpreting requests for analysis and reporting to facilitate the appropriate support. Effectively communicating work product to attorneys and colleagues across the firm through e-mail, phone, web conference, video conference, and in-person presentations. Answering any questions that may arise regarding the data and/or analytical methods and assumptions used to build the work product. Making recommendations to streamline workflow and process within the organization. Utilizing new technologies to automate tasks and reporting. Maintaining detailed records documenting procedures, methodologies, and sources of information employed while performing analytical tasks. Ensuring timely delivery of accurate and professional work product. Completing special projects on various issues as directed by management. Supporting senior analyst in completing analysis and reporting tasks as requested. Assisting team with administrative tasks pertaining to process efficiency, documentation, data entry, cross-training, and project tracking. Maintaining professional image within the Finance and Accounting department and projecting the same image to those outside the department. Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field is required. A minimum of three (3) years of related analytical experience in finance or accounting is desired. Experience at a professional services organization is desired, as well as experience in working on ad-hoc requests and projects in a fast-paced environment. The Analyst must display proficiency with a PC environment and related software and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of Business Objects or related BI platform, and Microsoft Access is a plus. Knowledge of Elite is a plus. Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 per year
