Job Title: General Manager - Pipe Cutting Machine Manufacturing Plant Location: Brunswick, GA Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our manufacturing company specializing in the production of machinery and equipment for the global metal tube processing industry. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and overall business success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence. Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership to the plant team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Effectively communicate the company's vision, values, and objectives to all employees. Build and lead a high-performing team, promoting professional development and employee engagement. Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure production efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery. Implement and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve plant performance. Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality pipe cutting machines. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to continuously improve product quality and reliability. Supply Chain and Inventory Management: Manage the supply chain to ensure a steady flow of raw materials and components. Implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize waste and maintain optimal stock levels. Financial Management: Develop and manage the plant's budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements. This role will have full responsibility for P&L Health and Safety: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Implement measures to reduce workplace accidents and injuries. Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and expectations. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products on time and addressing any concerns promptly. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. Minimum 10 years proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the production of industrial machinery. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions and drive operational excellence. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers.
