Job Summary:The Plant Manager will oversee daily operations of a chemical manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant production processes. This role requires strong experience in continuous manufacturing, with a focus on optimizing plant performance, reducing downtime, and ensuring product quality. The Plant Manager will lead a team of production, maintenance, and quality personnel, driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, safety, and logistics.Ensure adherence to continuous manufacturing processes, optimizing production flow and minimizing interruptions.Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output while maintaining product quality.Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, operators, and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.Collaborate with the EHS team to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, implementing best practices to maintain a safe working environment.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust processes to meet production goals and quality standards.Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure raw material availability and timely delivery of finished products.Develop and manage the plant's annual budget, tracking expenses and ensuring financial targets are met.Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to optimize production processes and reduce waste.Act as a key liaison with corporate leadership, providing updates on plant performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven experience in continuous manufacturing processes, with a strong understanding of process flow, automation, and production optimization.Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in chemical manufacturing.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing a plant with hazardous materials or chemicals.Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
