Overview The Business Intelligence Manager will help define and lead the way on how data is collected, transformed and leveraged throughout the organization. Business Intelligence Manager will partner with teams across the enterprise to drive operational, clinical, financial and strategic improvements using data, tools and strong collaboration. Mentorship and collaboration are key components of this role, as the team is dedicated to continuous learning and improvement. This role will work closely with IT/Finance Leadership to provide analyses and products in a timely and effective cadence, using innovative and motivated approaches. Incumbents must have led Data Science or engineering teams that have earned the respect of internal and external business customers. Fluent in statistical inference, practical experimental design and technology career development. Active technical participant while providing effective leadership and advisory to the team, partners, and customers. Responsibilities Lead a team of analysts and developers responsible for providing timely reports and analyses to stakeholders across the organization. Have a clear understanding of the data and end-user workflows to validate accurate results and reconcile discrepancies, when necessary, in conjunction with junior analysts and data consumer. Work with VP of Business Intelligence to develop goals, objectives and strategies for improving business performance using applicable BI tools. Oversee data integration / ETL processes that facilitate meaningful and efficient reporting. Train and mentor analysts and developers responsible for reports, dashboards, data marts, and extracts for end-users. Collaborate and partner with executive leadership, finance, operational management teams and analytical colleagues. Recommend enhancements to existing business intelligence processes or policies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Translate findings into visualizations and recommendations, strategy, and change management practices for stakeholders to employ. Partner with internal stakeholders to build solutions and processes that unify data sources and remove or mitigate obstacles to data analysis and new products. Create processing frameworks to perform data harmonization across multiple types of data Develop and conduct quality assurance analyses and data quality monitoring processes to ensure results and interpretation are error-free and optimize data integrity throughout team. Convert desired outcomes into value-based business initiatives, linking them to specific analytics, and applying interpretation methods/ techniques to create value Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Technical Skills: Advanced level understanding of SQL (creating or modifying SP, data-marts and ETL ) 7-10 years of experience in managing business intelligence teams, preferable in a healthcare organization. 5 years developing and maintaining ETL processes Creative thinker and problem solver who learns fast Deep knowledge and experience in finance, healthcare analytics, and knowledge of CPT and ICD codes. Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts in common terms Ability to work independently with little guidance or oversight PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Management/leadership, Analytics and/or Computer Science. Strong healthcare financial reporting, preferrable in a FQHC type organization. Experience navigating NextGen EMR, and the associated tables. Healthcare informatics experience highly preferred. Experience using Microsoft tools; PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, VisualStudio.
