Job Summary: As the Quality Assurance Engineer at Phase Four, you will be responsible for driving quality initiatives within Phase Four. Reporting directly to the Director of Production, this role will have the opportunity to set the tone for maturing our quality practices within the company. A successful candidate for this role will demonstrate leadership, integrity, empathy, technical acumen, and a strong work ethic to support the team. This role requires candidate to be on-site at our Hawthorne, CA, location. Core Responsibilities: Support for the fabrication of current and future Phase Four products throughout assembly and testing phase, streamline processes and identifying areas for improvement. Establish and implement standard practices for receiving and work inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct inspections on manufactured components. Support configuration management standardization of engineering drawings. Review work instructions, develop processes, and standardize documentation for internal work, rework, and repairs. Revore build verifications and create final assembly inspection checklists. Manage and control quarantined nonconforming hardware to maintain quality assurance. Generate non-conformance reports and drive root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to enhance product quality. As Phase Four grows, lead and mentor a team of inspectors in performing detailed inspections and quality assessments. Perform additional related duties as required. Required Qualifications / Skills : Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other STEM field Minimum of 4 years of experience acting as a Quality Engineer at a fast-paced manufacturing company Extensive experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, production, and test personnel In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing/complex assembly practices and typical quality processes/controls Working knowledge of typical PDM, MES, and QMS software Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways and evaluate alternative solutions that may require coordination across multiple teams. Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, and top management Well-versed in process development and first-time quality efforts Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with AS9100. Previous experience with ERP systems. Experience working with a cross-functional team in a matrix environment Knowledge of Defense/Military Programs, DCMA &/or Governmental regulatory requirements. Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills. Able to work with all levels of management and in a fast-paced, matrix reporting organization. Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 Annually Benefits: Competitive salary and equity commensurate with the Los Angeles Aerospace industry. If progressing to next step; Video Interview with the Hiring Manager - 30 minutes - This interview reviews the technical aspects of the role as well as your technical background. This is a great time for both you and the hiring manager to get more in depth about the expectations and technical mindset needed for the role. If progressing to next step; 'Challenge Question' In-Person Interview - 90-120 minutes - You will be given a technical question to work through that relates to the role to present during the In-Person interview at our office.
