Job Title: Senior Trial Attorney – Plaintiff's Side Location: Agoura Hills, CA Reports to: Managing Partner Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Trial Attorney to join our team of dedicated plaintiff-side advocates. The ideal candidate is a seasoned litigator with a passion for representing individuals in high-stakes cases, including personal injury, civil rights, employment law, or other complex litigation. This role requires an attorney with a deep understanding of trial strategy, a commitment to justice, and the ability to manage a demanding caseload from intake through trial. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of the litigation process for assigned cases, including case evaluation, discovery, motions, depositions, and trial. Develop trial strategies, prepare witnesses, and advocate on behalf of clients in court. Conduct thorough legal research and prepare clear, persuasive motions, pleadings, and legal briefs. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, keeping them informed of case developments and ensuring they understand the litigation process. Work collaboratively with a team of junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, providing mentorship and guidance. Negotiate settlements, when appropriate, with a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients. Stay current with legal developments and best practices within plaintiff-side litigation. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in [specify state]. Minimum of 10 years of experience in plaintiff-side litigation with a strong record of courtroom success. Demonstrated experience managing complex cases independently, with a focus on trial preparation and advocacy. Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to clients and juries alike. Strong negotiation skills with experience in settlement discussions. Dedication to advocating for clients and achieving justice on their behalf.
