Senior Vice President of Operations

Our client ("Company"), an industry leader in cannabis hardware, is seeking an experienced SVP of Operations to lead and oversee Company's end-to-end operational functions. Reporting directly to the President, the person will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, optimizing production processes, and ensuring the seamless execution of our strategic initiatives. A proven track record in manufacturing operations and global supply chain management will be critical in enhancing our competitive position and accelerating innovation. Required industry background: Vape-Tech and/or consumer electronics Responsibilities Operational Strategy and Execution Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies that align with the company’s vision, goals, and market demands. Drive operational efficiency, scalability, and agility through the optimization of manufacturing processes, resource allocation, and supply chain management practices. Manufacturing Excellence Provide strategic direction and oversight to manufacturing operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize throughput across all production lines. Supply Chain Management Lead the development and execution of supply chain strategies to optimize inventory management, procurement processes, and supplier relationships. Collaborate closely with procurement and logistics teams to mitigate supply chain risks, ensure timely delivery of materials, and maintain cost-effective operations. Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance Establish and maintain robust quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and product quality standards. Drive a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization, fostering continuous improvement and accountability at all levels. Strategic Planning and Business Development Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and market expansion. Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and emerging technologies to enhance the company’s competitive position and revenue streams. Team Leadership and Talent Development Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, empowering team members to achieve their full potential and contribute to the company’s success. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting Present operational strategies, performance metrics, and updates to the President and senior leadership, articulating key insights and recommendations. Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for operational initiatives. Education, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge Strong understanding of operational management principles, including supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of industry best practices, innovative manufacturing technologies, and regulatory compliance requirements. Familiarity with financial principles and budgeting processes to drive cost-effective operations. Skills Proven ability to drive operational excellence, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives in a high-tech or manufacturing environment. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the capacity to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effectively collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Abilities Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams effectively. Strong leadership presence, with the ability to influence and motivate teams toward achieving strategic goals. Capacity to adapt to changing market conditions and pivot operational strategies as necessary. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Equivalent combinations of work experience and education will be considered. Progressive leadership experience in operations management, preferably in a high-tech or manufacturing environment. Proven track record of success in driving operational performance, efficiency improvements, and strategic initiatives.
