The CDO will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of individual and corporate prospects and donors at local, regional, and national levels. This role involves managing a portfolio of major gift donors and creating strategies for their engagement, as well as working closely with clinical staff, senior management, and volunteers to advance the company's philanthropic mission, particularly in the areas of major and planned giving opportunities. The successful candidate will also be involved in developing annual fundraising plans, generating awareness of the value of the development department, and ensuring that fundraising strategies align with the company's mission. Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in the development field, with a focus on major gift cultivation and solicitation. Experience in healthcare is preferred. The role requires exemplary communication skills, strong volunteer management abilities, and a background in basic budget preparation and time management.
